Mina Sauk Falls Shea Butter Soap

Mina Sauk Handmade Soap

$ 5.50

It's all about love with this one. As the story goes, a Piankashaw Indian chieftain had a daughter named Mina Sauk ( that was the settlers way of saying their name) who fell in love with an Osage warrior. Things did not fair well for the young suitor and he was condemned to death on Taum Sauk Mountain. Poor Mina Sauk was so saddened during the event, that she threw herself down the cliff to be with the dying warrior in the valley below. Where the two died, the mountain shook and produced a steam which turned into a waterfall and red crimson flowers bloom where the lovers passed.

If you visit us here in SE Missouri and travel to Taum Sauk State Park, you'll find this lovely little waterfall hidden away - trust me, it's well worth the walk! How could we not honor such a story of love along with natural beauty?
With a fresh, clean scent that both men and women enjoy, our Mina Sauk Falls soap is a tribute to the swirling waters and dotted with bits red soap for the flowers that bloom around the area. All vegetable based ingredients, just like our other Arcadia Valley Soap line, we think you'll enjoy using this soap dedicated to young love.
$1 of each sale is donated to the Arcadia Valley Food Pantry.
